Profant Foundation: www.profant.org Your purchase benefits artists through the John E. Profant Foundation For The Arts, a non-profit 501-c3, providing scholarships, performances and exhibits. Our mission is to assist developing artists of all ages. Sometimes life gets in the way of our dreams, and we believe that artists at any stage in their career should be encouraged to pursue their talents. Annual awards are given to artists, dancers, musicians, actors and writers. Artist: Heyoka Merrifield www.heyoka-art.com Heyoka Merrifield is a jeweler, sculptor and author living in southwest Montana. In 2004 he was commissioned by Barbie Burgess to create a pendant inspired by the Spanish Dancer, a painting that "comes to life" each year at Fiesta Finale - a performance offered free to the public by the Profant Foundation. The flamenco dancer is exquisitely recreated in silver on an onyx background, including the Courthouse arch ways and full moon.
While living in the remote Northwest he has continued to make pieces for the celebrities that have collected his work over the years. A few of his notable collectors are: Joan Baez, Carol Burnett, Glenn Campbell, Cher, Neil Diamond, Michael Jackson, George Harrison, Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell, Ringo Starr, and Cheryl Tiegs. The galleries where his work may be viewed are Ornamente / Santa Fe, NM. and Aaron Fabor, New York. Your donation of $700 can be made by clicking here:
